I'm hoping that Rfactor could be supported. http://www.rfactor.net/index.php?page=buyonline

Although it says download and buy ingame, if you download it will allow you to run the dedicated server without purchase. Could this be supported ?

Hey,

I've had a look at it and spent the last half hour trying to get it working nicely.

However ive hit a few problems!

Im trying to launch it like this:
rFactor Dedicated.exe +oneclick +profile "test"

This appears to load the test profile fine, I had it make a profile when I originally ran the executable manually.

Then I made a copy of "test" and called it "test2", changed the server hostname and tried to run that server - It reverted back to 'DedicatedServer's settings.

Any ideas?

Humm I dont know, to run more than one server the ports have to be changed by one in the \rFactor\UserData\user Multiplayer.ini file. I think it saves the settings somewhere in there. There is a guide here, http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=221233 Maybe it will help.

I subscribed and I'm installing the game now, I realize this is beta but so far Gamecreate seems to be the most user friendly controlpanel/server manager I've seen yet Smile

Thankyou for the feedback Smile

One thing I may mention since you may already have the game installed, simply move the game into the gamecreate folder / where gamecreate is going to be installing it, and if the files already exist (and match what gamecreate thinks should be there) it wont download those files again (which may take a while for large game installs).

Just thought id point that out Smile

I have started 2 servers, its working great, couple questions though, I cant seem to access ftp "You can access this server via FTP at myhostip:port#. Login using your GameCreate account's username and password.
When I click there I get a page connot be displayed message. Also how do I go about changing the series/mod, an example would be changing from the SRgrandprix to the f13 cars

Make sure you are running GameCreate Client 5.1.x at a minimum for FTP - Also try using an FTP client instead of clicking the link.

You would need to look yourself in changing the series/mod - Work out which file it writes to and how it decides what mod to load.

Should be trivial if you check out the config files.
