I know GameCreate Client works on Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP without any issues.

Should work fine on other versions of Windows as well.

As for Linux, I will have to get back to you with the specifics, but it does work fine on GNU/Linux.

Your welcome to try running the client on your hardware to see if it works though in the meantime.

Most recent (last couple of years) Linux distributions will work. We have used it on a variety of Redhat's dating back to v7.2 . I've also tested it on Ubuntu and slackware.

I can verify that it works nicely in Gentoo Linux, both for
IA-32 and for AMD-64.

I dont know of anyone trying it yet, but given CentOS' similarities to RedHat it should be fine.

Occasional 5 minute restart wait? So it doesn't happen often? And what games does this do it to?

If a server appears to be 'restarting' every 5 minutes, check the Failure Reports link on the server's Overview tab.

Perhaps GameCreate thinks the server has died (since it cant query it from the web) - Is your server internet accessible?

sorry, should have been clearer. if a server crashes or is terminated via /rcon quit , there is often a large gap until the master server queries the host to check if the server is alive. there was once a 12 minute wait on one of my jka servers, however since i changed to running a new copy of gamecreate per IP and treat each IP as a new machine 9 each has its own root folder ) , such occurences arent as often at all.

Previously indeed it also thought a server wasnt up occsaionally and attemtped to restart.
