We're getting a few questions on the state of AU. Probably mainly since Australian's are more familure with the fantastic set of features GameCreate provides to a service due to the use for the last four years of the GameCreate system on Telstra Corporations GameArena service.

Telstra licence GameCreate under an exclusive deal in Australia, this wont always be the case, but for the forseeable term thats the long and short of it. We dont plan on offering any other region based deals like that, we would like to see smaller users also being able to utilise our technology.

Hi Term

A couple of questions:

- Is the reason above for AU the same for Xtra in NZ and the reason NZ'ers cannot participate in the BETA?
- If not, presummably there is another reason NZ is excluded
- Will NZ people be able to use the released product?

A little frustrating for myself (and others) since I already have previous exposure to GC and am very keen to trial this on my server.

Sorry for the late reply, only just noticed this.

GameCreate in AU and NZ are currently exclusivly licensed in those regions - for the beta and release.

Currently, GameCreate is still licensed for exclusive use in Australia (For hosts in NZ however it is currently freely available for use).

There are no plans to remove the exclusive license for Australia at this time, as such there is no ETA.

Pity you don't have plans. I have a big community that could put this to good use.
