Yes, that happens with a lot of games. It's because they
haven't made master installations for those games for
Linux yet.

Would be nice if the webinterface let us know that the game
can't be installed instead of pretending as if everything worked
fine until we look in the logs.

Is there a list of games that have not been done yet? Like on the website or forums? I have not seen one.

Yeah, we plan to somehow indicate soon that some packages are not supported (ie, the game just does not support it).

We are looking into getting more linux packages setup to be maintained alongside the Windows packages however.

At this time only really Counter-Strike / Counter-Strike: Source and Battlefield 2 and Enemy Territory are setup for Linux support.

Plan to cover all of our supported games over linux very soon though, as well as provide a way to indicate it cant be installed if its not available.

In the meantime, you can tick the 'Do not download this software' box (click Advanced Options on the confim screen) to mark the game as installed and place it there yourself to continue using GameCreate.

Additionally, if you have installations you have of these games yourself and you would prefer to distribute your own copy via GameCreate, instead of what we make (yours could include customisations and map packs, etc) then your welcome to do that too!

You can do this via the 'Packages' tab under 'Domain' - However this feature needs an additional application to create revisions for distrubution across your host computers - its still being worked on.

Email me at andrew@mammoth.com.au if you want a copy of this script sooner than later, we can work something out.
