it doesnt show that its trying to load the binary file for the linux server at all... also it doesnt have any command line saying what pid file to try and use...
Code:
-PID=port8767.pid
should be in the start up line somewhere to start the server with the right pid...

any help is nice.. thank you..

(*teamspeak is runing the old way for now... but i like to use the new way)

Hey,

Give it a go now, we didnt have any binary specified for TeamSpeak linux.

It will now use 'server_linux' which I think is correct.

Ignore any issue with 'could not open pid file' as this is used with the Windows version (we use a custom hook for our Windows servers which needs a pidfile to read).

Should work fine now, please report back.

Can you run the process manually from the command line, and see what happens?

Can you confirm TeamSpeak is actually installed there?

i made sure that the server can load from there... i am running the server right now from that dir and its working...

i even did a clean install of it to test (i made a backup of my old one first)

and yes i do shutdown the teamspeak server running before i try and boot it up on the gamecreate

It seems it does indeed no longer work under Linux.

This is because we have customized our Windows launcher to control TS2 servers - We dont have a wrapper for the linux version, and the TS2 developers dont support any means to automate the server.

So at the moment we cant really support TS2 servers on linux, sorry.

i am testing running the server right now under linux again, and now it is working...

i found out that you just have to add a command line into the start up for the command line options...

Code:
server_linux -PID=port8767.pid

i found this when looking under the start-up script made for the server orginaly

I am getting the same thing with a windows 2003 server. Anyone have a clue as to how to fix this? I tried adding -PID=port8767.pid into the command but didnt seem to work for me.

Code:

pidfiles do not work for Windows as far as I know, we wrote a custom wrapper to handle TeamSpeak in a server rental environment using AutoIt (Google) which writes out the pid.

Ok so what exactly did you do using autoit? This message continously rolling through gamecreate when we run teamspeak is really annoying. I would think since its setup on a windows box and the gamecreate teamspeak server is set to run on windows then this would not be there if they do not work on windows.

If your only concern is the 'could not open pid file' warning, just create an empty file called that for the time being with no file contents and it will read the file but ignore what is in there because its blank.

That will hide the warning for you.

I tried that already. It causes the teamspeak server to crash. The server runs fine without the file present but just keeps posting that error over and over again in gc.
