Hi

I cannot access my server in the listings during game and neither can ne1 else could you tell me were im going wrong, on the setup it has public listing as yes and ive tried everything i can think of to resolve this but no luck so far.

What game is this?

Is it starting ok? Is your host firewalled?

its sof2 and no its not firewalled although the server does keep restarting itself about every 10 mins

Its because GameCreate cannot see your server from the outside world, your host has a private LAN IP Address - It cannot be queried, so GameCreate assumes the server is not working.

See the reason for the failures there.

1) Close GameCreate Client
2) Open gamecreate.ini

Find:

ip []

Change it to:

ip x.x.x.x.

With your *internet* accessable IP address.

Goto http://soldieroffortune.eu.gamecreate.com/admin/EditHost.aspx?id=2245

Change the IP here, too.

Then start GameCreate Client again - shouldnt get restarted every 10 minutes from then on.

Hi ive setup the ips as stated but it dosnt make a difference noone can see my server on the internet if i go into local i can see it and i can access it(although i have no admin powers) i have tried with many different programs and game launchers and always get the same problem, i am desperate for people to be able to access my server!!!

Sounds like your host is not internet accessable (Its behind a firewall or router).

This is not a GameCreate related problem, you will need to allow the host to be contactable from the internet.

A "Query Failure" is the reason given when GameCreate externally attempts to query the server to see if it is running/accessable (If GameCreate is able to query it, then players can, too).

Also, your host address STILL appears to be: 192.168.0.109

This is NOT an internet accessable IP address.

We will be releasing a GameCreate Client update soon which will prevent people trying to run a client with an inaccessable IP Address, so you will need to fix it by then anyway.
