i think really that ive found a better way

the same as here, BUT. GameCreate would Shutdown and Restart only the "hltv" process, so not the wrapper script!

rename "hltv" to "hltv_start"
and rename "hltv_orig" to "hltv" ...

start your hltv processes over the SSH console
then it should work fine, but only if the Admins are changing this

We have SCREEN support ready to deploy which will eliminate this problem

Instead of GC simply executing the process, you can optionally start the server under a screen session, which will mean that any child processes (eg, wrapper scripts) are also run under the screen.

Then when GC goes to stop the server, it stops the screen, and everything under it.

You also get the benefit of being able to view the screen and server console which is handy.
