				| Hey, that's cool! That way our server overview will be complete by parsing GC's XMLs instead of having
to code exceptions for this game

				| ET:QW Beta 2 was released yesterday. It does not require a license. So far the dedicated server is
included with the client files, but a pure dedicated
release for both Win and Lin is imminent:

				| Yeah, this is really taking a while... I do have the client-based "dedicated server" running smoothly
in GC, though. A slight bit of tweaking had to be
done to your existing setup, and an exe had to be
renamed. You're welcome to take a peek if you
 want

				| Please note that the Linux executable is "run.sh" (seems to be blank at the moment) and the Windows executable
 is "etqwded.exe", not "etqwdedranked.exe"

				| Argh! It seems that at least the Windows server needs to be installed locally to work! I installed it via GC
and tried to run the server, but got some error
message stating that installing the server may fix
the problem. So I renamed the installation dir and
reinstalled it locally. It started up right away. I then
renamed the original GC-installation back to etqw
and it still works, so there's no difference there.
Perhaps they do something to the registry?

Just to remind you that this is still an issue. It is not
possible to run a server in Linux at this time, and
the exe in Windows has to be renamed.

Please see the first post in this thread

I dont see any easy way to download the server software (seems you need Steam to even run it) - so no can do.
