I have problems with adding a configuration line to my linux gameservers

I testet on Battlefield 2 to add the line sv.interfaceIP = "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"
while the server is not seen on gamespy / ASE but it dont works.
When i Add the Line manually then it works.

can you help me ?

What do you mean 'add the line manually'?

Also, I believe the format is:

sv.interfaceIP "xxxx"

Without the equals = sign.

i edited the server cfg and it runs with this command.
then i tryed to add it to the properties from gamecreate , and it dont works
