Hi, I have two UT servers installed onto my host machine. I have noticed they share the files together apart from the server configuration file itself (normally named as "port(serverport)") but I can not make the servers read custom files that I have chosen.
The example im trying to fix is the MapVoteLA13 custom mapvote I have installed but both servers read off the same configuration file for the addon. Is there anyway I can tell the server to read specific files that I have chosen?
This almost the same as UT2004 using the RPG addon. This contains a configuration file that is used but (haven't tried it yet), this will have all servers using the same file, how can you get each server to have their own file of settings?
If a particular game can't have custom files specified through configs or command lines, then normally a separate install and subdomain would be necessary.
Normally the server documentation will tell you if this is possible, beyond the main per-server config.
If you can stipulate custom files per server instance, it would normally be done, or called through the main config file for that server instance.
So how exactly would I get round this with not much trouble?
If there is a way to specify custom files it would be great as I don't know how to get custom files to work exactly as I have only just started to use GameCreate.
How exactly does the UT2004RPG work because RPG isn't installed when it comes up saying to make an UT2004RPG server. Is there a way to get different servers using the same game files but different configuration files like the RPG?
but the mutator itself (UT2004RPG) uses it's own configuration file with the same name. All servers within the folder will use this file for the settings, any way to making the server use a different file so only one install is needed or is subdomains the only way?
