I've just restarted the master, though so far it doesn't seem to have helped your servers Kybber.

The problem fixing itself on mondays is really strange, as we dont have any services that run on a weekly basis.

My hosts are still offline (for three days now).
I have a linux and a windows host. The Gamecreate client on both systems tell the same things:

LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:41:58 2008: Begin connection attempt
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:41:58 2008: Connect TCP socket
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:41:58 2008: TCP connected, create new SSL instance
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:41:58 2008: Bind SSL to TCP socket
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:41:58 2008: Begin SSL negotiation
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:42:01 2008: SSL negotiation complete
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:42:01 2008: Attempting domain login: uddp/*****
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:42:05 2008: FTP connections are permitted
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:42:10 2008: Received PING request
LOG: Tue Dec 16 10:43:01 2008: Sending PONG, waiting for response

So there seems to be a connection, some "Received PING request" entries follow. But the webinterface still shows all hosts as offline.

Ok, must be a coincidence then. And as has been shown this week, it doesn't
always happen. Which is too bad since it takes away a potential pattern to look
into.

I've got the same problem under EU domain. Maybe its the hoster's fault? Why EU is causing problems and other domains are stable?

Andrew and I think we've solved this problem. We'll keep logging Kybber's %age of running hosts as a way to check up on it.

GameCreate EU Update

Hi everyone.

Just thought we would give you an update in to what's happening with GameCreate in Europe.

Please be aware that most development attention as of late has been focused on other projects, and while we use GameCreate daily and have it powering thousands of servers that we provide - the issues mentioned in here have unfortunately been given a lower priority due to resource constraints.

As Nathan has just mentioned, we reckon we have identified and corrected the main cause for the constant disconnects associated with Europe based GameCreate hosts, connectivity performance should improve dramatically as of now.

There are other minor improvements we are monitoring and will make adjustments as necessary.

We are monitoring Kybber's hosts as a reference point to see whether our changes are having the intended effect (these changes will assist with everyone, not just Kybber).

Other issues that Europe domains may have been experiencing at times is poor performance while browsing the website or performing actions (such as starting a game server).

The changes mentioned above should also improve performance in these areas, however, we are also in the process of upgrading the hardware powering the GameCreate Europe system to meet the increase in demand and eliminate any potential hardware issues related to performance.

We will keep you updated with the changes as they are made via this forum thread.

Andrew and Nathan,

This is fantastic news! On behalf of every EU user, I wish to thank you for
your effort in looking into and now hopefully fixing this problem that has
been so devastating to our gaming servers. I appreciate the fact that you
have other and more pressing matters, and that the EU server is basically
a non-profit part of your business. This only makes my gratitude even
bigger.

So again: Thank you for your effort and dedication. I will, however, be the
first to post in this thread if our hosts pong out again Wink

I also appreciate your support and would like to say: THANKS!

You should launch donations if you're not paid for this project. I'd donate for sure.

AntiVirus; we do get paid to work on GameCreate, just not for providing the EU and US servers. This problem was difficult to identify since as other posters have mentioned through this thread, neither the US or AU masters have been experiencing this problem.

Perhaps there's a completely different reason in your case now? Do your
logs show this behaviour w.r.t. lack of pong responses, or is it something else?
