Ok. Thank you Andrew. Does it affect the installation if I have already created the server? |

Not sure what you mean, but installing a game (whether you have a server defined for it or not) wont effect the install of the game. |

Another problem > installations of games completed, installed a gameserver but it has yet to appear as online. Any idea why? I did a restart as well. |

From the server's overview tab, click Stop on the server.
Then start your server from the same directory GameCreate is trying to start it from with the command line shown on the Overview page.
The game may be reporting a problem, which you will be able to see and diagnose when you attempt to start it yourself.
Let me know what it is if you can do this so we can figure out a solution |

Not quite sure what you mean. Stop the server then start the server again? Well that's what I did if I'm understanding you correctly. If I'm wrong, please explain! Thank you Andrew. |

I'm receiving query failures. What is this? Anyone that can shed some light into the current situation? |

Query Failures are errors when our GameCreate query servers attempt to 'query' your gameserver, but cannot get a response - and assume the server is offline/crashed, and attempt to restart it.
Counter-Strike should work fine on Linux and Windows, we have tested this pretty well.
What I am suggesting is, click 'Stop' on the Overview tab for your server in GameCreate.
Then, attempt to start the server yourself manually, instead of using GameCreate to do it.
As per the server's Overview tab, its trying to start it like this:
Quote: | hlds_run -game cstrike -norestart -sport 27020 -console +ip 38.99.146.4 +port 27015 +maxplayers 10 +servercfgfile port27015.cfg +exec port27015.cfg +exec banned_user.cfg +map de_dust2 +logsdir gclogs/294537 +localinfo mm_pluginsfile "addons/metamodx/plugins27015.ini" +localinfo amx_plugins "addons/amx/plugins/plugins27015.ini" +localinfo amx_modules "addons/amx/modules27015.ini" |
So, attempt to run the server via the shell prompt like that (prefix of ./ will be needed obviously to start it) from the /gamecreate/hlserver folder.
See what errors you get, if any, in an attempt to see why the server is not starting correctly. |

Ok. I haven't done what you asked yet but just a question before I do. The gameserver is stopped but I still receive emails regarding server failure and restore. Why is this? |

I did what you asked. I started the server manually from the host and it worked fine. So what's the problem? |

I believe he wants you to put the installation in the /gamecreate/hlserver/ folder for it to work properly. |

GameCreate is going to be starting it from the folder specified when it was installing the game (eg, /gamecreate/hlserver) - if your starting it from here too, and you can query it / play on it when its started manually, it should work fine from GameCreate when it starts it.
Can you query the server OK (eg, ingame serverlist) if you start it manually? |

Yes I can query the server okay when I start it manually. I am trying to do everything from scratch. So I deleted the folder by accident and tried to remove the host/servers from gamecreate, I believe I ran into a problem. Can you do the removal manually for me please? |

Removal of what exactally?
If its a game install, you can goto the uninstall page and remove it (or click Advanced options to simply remove it from the GUI) |

Just a question; Is it possible to rename the hlserver folder? If I were to create a 2nd server, would it name the 2nd server hlserver2 and so forth? |
