Hello all together

I've got a problem installing games under linux.

for example when i click on install (or in this case: reinstall) of the game "Savage" I get the console-output
Code:

LOG: Fri Nov  2 15:04:34 2007: Directory: /home/quest/gamecreate/savage
LOG: Fri Nov  2 15:04:34 2007: Uninstalling savage and all subdirectories
LOG: Fri Nov  2 15:04:34 2007: Finished uninstall
LOG: Fri Nov  2 15:04:37 2007: Fetching http://144.140.155.2:3579/linux/savage.txt
LOG: Fri Nov  2 15:04:38 2007: Directory: /home/quest/gamecreate/savage/
LOG: Fri Nov  2 15:04:38 2007: Updating savage from revision 0, 0 instructions to process
LOG: Fri Nov  2 15:04:38 2007: Finished update

so, my interpretation of this is, that the game-files are installed into the directory /home/quest/gamecreate/savage
but there is still no directory savage in /home/quest/gamecreate !

when I try to create a new server, the folder savage and the conf-Files are created but the gameserver can't be started because the files are not installed.

my environment:
my testserver is behind a router here in my home-lan. its adress is 192.168.0.33
on my router I forwarded the ports 1224 and 3579 to the router. Later I also tried to configure the Server as DMZ.
System is Ubuntu 7.10

my ini-file: (ip is the global-ip of my router, so GC can find me)
Code:
loginname xxxxx
master-ip eu1.master.gamecreate.com%2Ceu2.master.gamecreate.com
password xxxxx
ip 84.56.37.78

Try to fetch that file yourself. The contents look like this:
Code:
INSTALLER savage 0

Compare that to e.g. http://144.140.155.2:3579/linux/srcds.txt
and you'll see a massive difference. The reason is that
GC does not have a Linux-server for savage. If the Linux
server does exist somewhere on the web, then you can
ask the GC guys to add it.

Yeah, we do not have extensive content support for Linux at the moment.

Most of our servers are Windows and so we only keep content for Windows based servers at the moment as the majority due to disk space and efficiency reasons in our day to day management of servers we run which only run on Windows.

We do plan to improve the content system in GameCreate to be more flexible and allocate more space, but there is not a big urgent need seen by us to maintain an extensive list of Linux content at this time.
