I have been googling and messing with this NON stop for 3 days now. I am not a Linux guru by any means but I have followed the sparse guides as perfect as possible.
I have copied over a windows install, untouched, then unzipped the 1.0 linux install, then 1.4, then 1.4-1.5 .
I can now get it to boot from the shell, load a map, but no one can see it, and gamecreate can't control it.

I have an identical copy inside the gamecreate folder, and it will even say Running, but will not show up in the master list or let me connect.



Still will not show up in favorites or master list.

Well can you add it as a favorite ?

Also a good trick is to not use the default server port or it makes your server like # 20000 on the list try this

Not sure what you are trying to do.

Run GameCreate like this:

./gamecreate.x86

Ensure it has execute permission.
