Having issues with MOHAA crashing.

Using default OBJ Server config, default port, default command line.

Basically the server starts up, clients can join, everything is fine on the first map. As soon as this map ends, and it goes to change map, the server crashes.

From the failure logs:

Stop GameCreate stopped test server. 6/8/2008 7:31:21 PM
Start GameCreate attempted to start test server. 6/8/2008 7:31:03 PM
Stop GameCreate stopped test server. 6/8/2008 7:30:56 PM
Fail Process failure (Server crashed?) 6/8/2008 7:30:56 PM
Start GameCreate attempted to start test server. 6/8/2008 7:28:29 PM

I'm able to start the server (using the command line from the gamecreate daemon's output) fine, and map changes are fine.

I've looked around in the forums and others seem to have had similar problems, which were resolved, but nobody ever said how?

Am I missing something?

If I could I would provide server logs but it seems to overwrite qconsole after each crash. Servers are on linux.

Cheers Smile

Have tried alternative configs, removed all pk3's but the defaults -- all combinations work fine manually, but not through GC Sad

Further to this, I've just done a complete clean install, verified the pk3's aren't corrupt with md5sums, and deployed this install out from my content server. Even with using the default FFA config, MOHAA still crashes (when I run it through Gamecreate) as soon as I change to dm/mohdm4.

If I run from a command line, the server runs perfectly fine, even if I use the exact command line that the GC client shows :\

Is the client adding something to the command line or exec'ing it a certain way that's different to me running it? What's so special about that certain map?

Make sure the GC client has permission to start start the game.

Can you paste the complete 'starting GC booking' line in here with the complete path/exe name so we can have a look.

You might want to download the GC client again just to make sure you have the latest version running.
