First off, in order to get the gamecreate.x86 to work I had to execute the following command:
Quote: | brandelf -t Linux gamecreate.x86 |
After doing this, you are able to execute the binary.
That said, I am able to execute the binary but unable to actually run gamecreate. Running the program in the foreground, it seems to be trying to change directories (where I have no clue) and that is what is causing the failure.

Terminated
|
I've browsed through the limited posts in this support forums along with what is currently available in the Manual link to the left and have come up with nothing. At this point, without more verbose logging features, I'm just guessing at what this binary is trying to do.
In addition, I do run a httpd and a ftpd on the same IP that gamecreate is attempting to use. I've stopped both daemons and tried starting up the binary and the same result persists.
Any help would be appreciate. Thank you. |

Hey,
I'll try and help you as best I can, someone else who wrote the actual GameCreate Client would have a better idea than me - ill link him to this thread.
Its possibly changing directory because its attempting to start a server.
The 'Terminated' log entry, is that because you simply terminated the console yourself, or was that a form of crash?
Are you attempting to start a server via the website? |

I apologize from the late response.
This output above is simply from running the command:
./gamecreate.x86 -f
via console on a FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE |

Hey,
What exactally is the problem, does the client not start a game server you have setup via GameCreate Admin?
Which game server are you attempting to start from your domain, whats the error if you watch the console output? |

I'm simply trying to start the client. I get as far as the first post above and that's it. I have subscribed with gamecreate. I have my domain login, user login and the passwords for both. The domain I created appears in the list on the site. However, when I login, it claims that I have no hosts setup. This is likely due to the fact that the client refuses to run in a fbsd environment. |

I'd also like to add that upon logging into the website, it is prompting me to setup a new host. The instructions it gives are as follows:
Quote: |
Step 1
Download the GameCreate Client from the GameCreate Client download website.
Step 2
Install the GameCreate Client on the new host.
Enter the domain login information when prompted:
Domain Login: <my_domain_login>
Domain Password: <my_domain_password>
This information can be found on the Domain Configuration page.
Step 3
The GameCreate Client will attempt to login to the specified domain, and the new host should appear shortly after under the Hosts tab.
Further configuration of the host may be performed by visiting the new hosts Configuration tab. |
It is upon doing this step that I am getting the error in the original post. That is not terminal terminated. It simply crashes after being started with `./gamecreate.x86 -f` so I can see what is going on in the foreground. |
