I have game create running but when I go to install a game the installation stops at 99 percent.

Specs:

Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHZ w/HT
1024 MB of RAM
100 MBPS uplink
CentOS 4.1
160 s-ata hd

I really have no idea what to do any more, i've tried re-installing the works. Please re-post or contact me at ir0d3th3sh0rtbus (on aim) if you can help me fix this issue.

I doubt its stopping, perhaps the last one percent contains a number of very large files.

Which game are you refering to? Let it keep going.

I have let it keep going for a few hours now. It pauses at 99 percent for 15 min or so then I get this error:

Counter-Strike uninstall: failed

It picks up again in like 5 minutes or so. I have also tried halfe life and some others, they all do the same thing. I am trying to uninstall it but it did the exact same thing with the install too.

Do you mind if I attempt to install a few games via GameCreate to try and identify the problem?

I'd try installing Trackmania.

Also, do you already have a copy of Counter-Strike dedicated server?

If so, place the hlds install under /xxx/gamecreate/hlserver (where the install step tells you its going to be placed).

GameCreate will verify existing files and skip the download of them if they are what the master server has.

Can you try moving a copy of hlserver in the /xxx/gamecreate/hlserver folder if you happen to have it?

My brother re-did the installation for me and got track mania to succesfully install, however counter-strike no longer gives an error but still remains at 99 percent. My freind uploaded the hlds himself and its stuck. Any ideas?

Can you let GameCreate keep running while its 'stuck' on 99%, possibly check the bandwidth in/out while its apparently stuck, its most likely still downloading files and not stuck at all.

Thats perfectly fine - Its just telling the master server 'Im still here, installing the game, progress is still 99%'.

Its not stopping at 99%, its just taking a while to finish the last one per cent.

Its a percentage of files or instructions GameCreate needs to download; not the overall size of the install.
