How can I update Counterstrike 1.6? when I try to connect to the server he says, the server has an old protokoll.
How does it work??

i updated my server manualy with the hldyupdatetool from the steam website..

just download it to your server and run it with the
"-dir path/to/your/install/dir"

ok. what is the whole comment? ./hldsupdatetool -dir /..../hlserver

or what?

first download the hldsupdatetool.bin to your server and run it
it will uncompress a file named steam

run steam with ./steam -command update -game cstrike -dir ....

it maybe updates the updater first so you have to run it twice

The problem was I have no permission on ./steam before...
now I just hope eu.gamecreate comes back
