I was wondering if there is a permission or a way to let a user reinstall their game under a subdomain, without giving them the New or Delete permission? Many times they mess stuff up and need to reinstall and it would be awesome to give them the power to reinstall. Even better if there was a way to quota it, such as only 10GB of reinstalls a month.
I was also wondering if there was a way to add a content server for just one game, while to continue using GameCreates content server? I wanted to create a Counter Strike Source match server package that only does a base install with 0 addons.
Currently there's no way to limit users to a reinstall only option. You would still need to do this for them.
You can define a custom content server for a single game if you want to.
Enable use of custom content server and add the custom content server's address in /admin/DomainPackages.aspx then tick which game you want to use the custom content server and click save.
However, the web server does NOT need to be publicly accessible.
For example, assume you have three hosts.
If you install a web server (such as IIS or apache) on one of these hosts, you should be able to access it using either a private LAN IP (if these hosts are all on the same network), or from its public IP such as http://123.123.123.123
Simply use this address for the content server.
The server ONLY needs to be accessible by the hosts that are going to be downloading game files; GameCreate does not need access to it, and so it can be completely closed off.
