Hello, Thanks for reading already:
I want to install this simply thing on my linux root, however i always get this error :
2010: Attempting domain login: ******/*******
LOG: Fri Feb 19 13:44:21 2010: Master requested logon (previous authentication failed)
I already tried everything: and assure that the process was terminated before i can start a other one.
If you have already defined/added your host in one domain, that is the error message you will receive if you try to add it in another without first removing it from the first.
Try to remove the host from any previous domain you've had, and it should work. We've been using GC since 2006ish, and are very happy with it
Thanks for your reply and suggestion Kybber but this is a 1st time setup and thefoe the domain credentials are unique. I have also tried it with setting up another domain with again differant credentials and get exactaly the same error. Would it bf possible fit somebody to try to add my server to their domain to test? Or maybe someone who administers GameCreate to try logging a host in to my domain or checking it?
One issue is that the IP is wrong. You need to obtain your "outside IP" and manually enter it in your gamecreate.ini-file. You can get your ip from e.g. http://checkip.dyndns.org.
Stop GameCreate on the host, edit gamecreate.ini so it contains a line
Code:
IP = the.ip.you.found
then restart GameCreate.
It may very well be that someone else has done the exact same thing with their server, and hence 127.0.1.1 is already defined as an existing host in GC.
Oh, and you should edit your first post since it contains your credentials in plain text. Or preferably change your credentials since people have already read the post.
Ok I have reinstalled Debian and now when I try to run GameCreate I get an error stating that I can't use it through a router:
Code:
jimbo@debian:~/gamecreate$ ./*.x86 -f
The IP address of this computer was found to be: 192.168.1.222
This computer appears to be on a private LAN.
Unfortunately, GameCreate can only run on computers that are directly connected to the internet.
(That is, on computers that have an internet-accessible IP address.)
The box is assigned the WAN IP as it (192.168.1.222) is set to DMZ in router and the connection has a static ip.
Can I get around this? Port forwarding maybe? Surely you are all using routers?!
