Below is my VPS server configuration,

#uname -a
Linux gamepanel 2.6.18-028stab099.3 #1 SMP Wed Mar 7 15:20:22 MSK 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I am trying to configure a game server in my new VPS, I have almost done with the installation but there is a problem while starting service and open port.

The error message :

GameCreate attempted to start Counter-Strike Server. 3/17/2012 10:30:43 AM
Fail stat(/opt/gamecreate/hlserver/hlds_run) failed: (Error: 2) 3/17/2012 10:29:49 AM

Actually the hlds_run file not available in the server but it tries to
execute as default after installed games. can anyone help me to solve the problem.

I haven't had any luck with linux anymore, it seems like it may not be supported. I switched to a windows VPS and have had no problems.
