could somone explain how they do a manual install of the dod source files to setup a game server...ive waited all day for the automatic install to do for dod source and its just froze at 84% doing a reinstall now and wondering if thats going to do the same...

could somone write a detailed description how to do a manual install of dod source...thanks.

It wont have frozen, it was just downloading a chunk of large files perhaps.

If it 'freezes', the GameCreate website will indicate this on the site and will automatically attempt to re-perform the action.

You should note that the content server is currently located in Australia.

You can bypass GameCreate's installation of files by installing the game yourself first, and then on the final step of the 'Install a new game' wizard, tick 'Software is already physically installed' under 'Advanced Options'.

Alternatively, if you have a HTTP webserver setup you could instruct GameCreate to download files from this host instead of the Australian one.

Note however that the 'custom packages' feature (local HTTP server of content) is still in development, and while works, may take some technical know-how from you to get running if you wish to use it.
