This is sort of laughable...but only when the host is on.
Edit: That's like saying you can download files while your computer is off. |

Hence why dedicated servers are used
Obviously, you need your host online to be running servers. |

GameCreate Client only needs port 1224 open.
Each game server you have running will need the appropriate ports open, check the game's faq/readme to find out what these are. |

You can make GameCreate Client login with a specific IP (if you have multi IPs or your LAN ip is hiding your real one) by opening gamecreate.ini and adding a line:
ip 123.123.123.123
Where you put your real IP address.
Also, at this time you cannot make GameCreate reboot your hosts themselves. We had this in an earlier (years) ago version, but thought it was not needed for now as usually theres some permission problems (eg, linux needs root to reboot, or admin on windows when needed) and also the idea of being able to reboot the box from the web is a bit dodgy without proper security. |

If you wanted to run GameCreate on a server at home that had a dynamic ip address could you use a dynamic dns service such as dyndns.org?
e.g
---gamecreate.ini---
ip mydyndns.dyndns.org |

MrBlue, no, not at this time - its not supported.
New User, depending on where you are on the world, you can usually get dedicated servers from a data center for rent. |
