i can see that when downloading the steam based games (hl2:dm or hl1 games) that you have it down from the server...
why cant you have the thing just download the base steam files.. (for linux: steam, test1.so, test2.so, test3.so) and just have steam download the files...
this is alot faster than trying to download from your server and also it makes sure you have the most up to date files for the server... then if anything esle is needed just have the program download the files from your server...
i also found out that this fixes the stuck at 99% for my half-life 1 games...
There is no such thing as being stuck on 99% - the last percentage of files to download (not a percentage of data to download, its a percentage of files left to download) may have very large files left.
Your welcome to install and maintain the installations yourself without installing it via GameCreate.
The idea is that you could maintain a central repository of your installation (with any additional maps, etc) and this will always be on all hosts.
You cant do this if it s downloading from Steam.
The installation method also supports any number of files etc and is not steam specific.
We plan to release some software sometime soon which will allow you to maintain your own local copies of the software, so you dont need to download it from us.
