|
|
I am trying to run cod2 v1 on by using gamecreate. Problem is the server wont start unless someone clicks ok when the WIN_IMPROPER_QUIT_BODY error comes up. Basicly means the server didnt shut down properly. Well we sorta know that, but problem is we cant get it back up unless it bypasses the error. Any suggestions? |

We created a 'wrapper' program which clicks OK to those silly errors.
Try using the one from our cod2 install or try making one yourself with AutoIt (google) |

i would rather use yours, make my life easier. is there something i must put in the startup command line to get the functionality working? I am currently making an install of your default files on another box so that i can sort out the program and make it work with cod2 v1.0 |

It's pretty easy to use.
Eg: CoD2MP_launch.exe 20700 +set dedicated 2 +set sv_punkbuster 1 ....
So GameCreate will run CoD2MP_Launch.exe <port> <params>
<params> get passed over to the cod2 executable.
The port is just used to create portXXX.pid which GC then looks at to locate the process.
Its not tested with COD 1.0 |

I tried starting it up. And it looks as if it is running in the task manager, but it doesnt seem active. Everything stays constant. the _lauch.exe goes away, then comes back every 5 seconds or so. But the mem usage of the cod2mp_s.exe is 120 -130 and cpu for it says at 0. The _lauch.exe does restart it if I kill it, but the server isnt starting. If you would please look at my control panel and tell me if i have everything setup right. wcugaming.us.gamecreate.com and if you guys are willing to support v 1.0 if not i guess ill use firedaemon for that server. |

Issue resolved. If you use your files and their startup commands, everything works perfect. Thanks Andrew for your help |
