Hi,

Just joined this evening GameCreate and setup my Linux server for use with GameCreate.

However noticed that a number of games require manual installation e.g. Halo, Doom 3, etc.

Can Halo run yet, on a Linux box? If so can someone point me in the right direction for the source files.

Is their an official list of Games that the GameCreate servers will install, without the need for manual installation?

I don't think there is a Linux install for Halo.

If there is (and its freely available) please point us to it so we can set it up.

Manual installs are needed for games that do not provide retail packages to distribute for dedicated servers (ie, they are not free).

If you have a large amount of hosts, its possible for you to maintain your own local copy of installations yourself (including ones that need a manual install) so that you can tell GameCreate to download the installations from there instead. This is only worth doing if you manage a large number of hosts.
