and thx Andrew for helping me.
I now use the new domain because I don't get the host in the old domain.

But why the client can not add the counters? We have a Server with Windows 2003 Web Edition on it.
Must I change some settings?

The user the application is running as does not have the permission to access the performance counters - I'm not sure on the specific permission required, but that's the reason.
