Hi @all,
i wrote you from Germany.
Firstable thanks for this great Panel. It looks like pretty good.
But, ich have Trouble to setup my Client i think.
I have try to search the Forum for tipps but all what i find dosenīt work
Here my Problem:
I use a WindowsXPpro Server behind a Netgear Router
The GameCreate Clientsoftware is installed. I read here i must set the IP Row in the Gamecreate.ini to the real Internet-IP-Adress. I do so, but nothing happend. Here my *.ini-File:
Code:
loginname xxxxxxxxx
log-file gamecreate.txt (i read it here in Forum)
master-ip eu1.master.gamecreate.com eu2.master.gamecreate.com
passwort xxxxxxx
IP 80.171.29.202 (did a DNS works also?)
Is the Syntax and format right?
Can i set a DynDNS by IP also?
The Maschine hat the STATIC internal IP 192.168.0.8
I have set this Portsforwarding the my internal IP:
- 1224
- 3579
Do i need forward more Ports?
After all that, my Gamecreate Software shows everytime the Warning:
"The IP adress ao this computer was found to be 192.168.0.8
This computer appears to be on a privat LAN.
Unfortunately, Gamecreate can only run on computers that are directly connected to the Internet.
(That is.......)"
I have do what i found here, but nothing can help me. I hopy you Guys can and will help me.
BtW:
An Idea....
Why did you prog not a Way to select this Method on installation?
I see here many Serveradmins they wont use your great resolution to administrade her Infra...
Be sure you are editing gamecreate.ini - this is the file that contains the settings.
Be sure you edit it after GC Client is closed, edit the file, and then start it again. It will not alert you to an error with regards to LAN IPs if you did it correctly.
You cannot use a DNS name at this time.
Be sure you only add the ip line and it must be lowercase - be aware of these details.
Delete that file you have created, start client again, then close it, then edit it with the ip line and then run it again and you should be set.
The "gamecreate.ini" File is into the "X:\gamecreate\" Directory, with some other *.dll Files. I think, thats the right.

But thats the Prop? I canīt start the Client. Or is a Process after Installation Busy? I want to have a look.
Did you plan to let a DNS work in the Future? Most homehosted Servers/PCīs are from our ISPīs on a dynamic IP-Adress Range set, they change every Day, after 24h. Static IPīs from our ISP are not possible for privat user. Businesspartner can get there, privat Users not.
Now i must set everyday my new IP on this File? Thats not realistic.
OK, i try some, and come back sone.
