Check the Server Failures link (On Server Overview) for the reason.
Most likely a Query Failure, ie, the server was not queryable from the internet - You will need to diagnose the cause yourself, review the server console for information.

A friend of mine who works for AT&T Data configured the linux box and the router to get it working this far. He was able to get your servers talking to my little linux box to install games. What we think would be very useful are icons on the game server page that watch for ports open that the individual game require.
For Example, UT, by selecting 7777, the ports change as to what it requires. So you could script your website to put pu green and red dots for the ports it needs open. Very useful for novices like me when I don't have my guy from AT&T around.
More error reporting from the binary file when a pid crashes to the log file and console and gamecreate website. Even better would be if script found crash was in database, could offer KB articles HOWTO fix.
Assume the worst cast scenario that I'm not a web host company but a game enthusiast with no linux/windows experience and offer HOWTO articles to setup your linux game create server. Research a slew of router brands and offer help in port forwarding and dynamic IP service sites.
Setup a firstrate ticket system. From experience at work, it takes time to tweak many different settings and skin the customer portal.
Just humble suggestions. But I'm stuck right now with no logs as to why the pid is crashing and restarting over and over again. And, after port forwarding 1024-9000 why it's not working. Thus the idea that your script know which ports should be open for that particular game and show either red dot or green dot. Oh make sure it's labeled udp or tcp. Maybe this could all be done in the game server setup routine.
Good suggestion with regards to the database of howto guides.
Ideally just better prevention of the errors in the first place (better error handling etc) would be good.
If you want a list of in-use ports, a simple list (that just shows the ports listed as per GameCreates interface) is to view /admin/Servers.xml.aspx which will give you a list in XML format.
I've replied to you about this pidfile issue via e-mail.
