Is this a Mammoth Rental server?
Your problem is not very descriptive - This is not Mani Admin support, check the maniadmin site if thats what you are after |

Ok,
We have our own server. And are looking at you gamecreate service to manage the games we run on it.
I installed CSS via game create, created a CSS server with Mani enabled and added myself to the adminlist file. When I type "admin" in the console the Mani Admin Menu is not loading. |

I'm not that familier with maniadmin myself, but I know it works on our Windows servers.
If your running linux, perhaps ensure mani is actually installed. |

Mani is installed and I can use the mani commands in the console. It just doesn't show the menu? |

Ok, I solved the problem.
1. When GameCreate installs CSS it doesn't set the correct execute permissions. I had to set execute permissions on the following...
/home/gamecreate/srcds/hldsupdatetool.bin
/home/gamecreate/srcds/srcds_amd
/home/gamecreate/srcds/srcds_i486
/home/gamecreate/srcds/srcds_i686
/home/gamecreate/srcds/srcds_run
/home/gamecreate/srcds/steam
2. You have to set the RCON password.
Once I did this it worked
I also noticed that after the BF2 install I had to set execute permissions on start.sh
Cheers. Really like the tools. |

You shouldnt need to set execute permissions on start.sh for BF2, it will be done when GameCreate attempts to launch it.
As for SRCDS, this should have been done - ill verify its doing it as expected, thanks. |

Gamecreate didn't set these permissions on either BF2 or CSS.
I kept getting failure to start errors until I changed these permissions. |

Did the client have the appropriate permissions to modify the files? I assume it does. |

At the moment the client is running as root! So it should do. |

Ill give this a few test runs on our linux platforms (We dont have much of these running gameservers, mostly windows).
Also, just so you know, there is no need to run gamecreate as root |
