I installed a Demo BF2 servers to test out this gamepanel and it keeps failing constantly, what can I do to diagnose the problem and fix it?

Is this for Linux? We dont currently have a copy of the Linux BF2 demo on our content server.

In the meantime, if you install it manually (or install say a Shoutcast server, which is on our linux content) you can still start a server from there.

How do I install it manually? Any chance of it becoming available on your content servers?

Hey.

You would simply download the game manually (by searching the company's website or google) and on the install page, clicking 'Advanced' and then 'Mark as already installed' under Advanced options.

However, we have just put BF2 Demo Linux on our content server.

Give the game a re-install and you should see it installing without problems and be able to start a server.

Do you know if the addons for CS will ever be working?

They do work on windows and should on linux.

There are no dlls in any of the metamod folders, or any of the mods.

Try putting them there yourself for the time being, it will work then.

Do they read them in the default locations?

Install them where they are supposed to be installed (cstrike\addons I think).

They require you to modify the liblist.gam this is allowed correct?

Its your host computer, you can do whatever you want to it

I reinstalled BF2Demo 3 times and it is still crashing

Check the servers Failure Reports link (Overview tab) for a reason for the restart.

Also try running the server manually, you may need to install some required libraries on your server.

Do you happen to know what the required libraries are or where I can find them? I installed libstdc++.so.5 which it was asking for.
