Hello,
I wanted to customize a little more with counter strike source. I am starting off with mattie mod (not mani). I know where the config files are, and how to install it, but is there a default game that gets copied to the new games?
I might just be having a hard time visualizing how this works. I would like 4 instances of counter strike source on this host, each with its own server, including server admins (in mani) with different settings using mattie's add ons. Heres some good questions that will help me. Are all the servers spawned from the same install? Is there a template area I can put files for the game so that the different servers will all pick them up? I think I am just being confusing now...
Define Game Files (as opposed to Files on a Server's tab) for all servers to use/write out those files.
All servers for the game are ran out of the same physical installation (GameCreate will use multiple server support where possible, eg, tell it to run a specific server config file for each server).
Subdomains will create a separate installation (for use in a rental environemnt) from the other installations.
Read the documentation, many of your questions are already covered.
I have read through the manual on the left nav bar... It's alright. I found your sticky posts are more helpful though. I had a question with subs. Does it copy from your main hosts game files, or does it redownload the packages? What I am trying to get to here is if I install mattie or some other addon to the main game package and change the configs to automate the editing of this addons options, are those changes propogated through all of the other subs games?
If there is a documentation page describing this, please just link it.
