Could you verify that your CSS files for linux are up to date? I just got this server set up, and it says "server is out of date" when i try to connect. See for yourself

Thanks

Will it effect your auto updating if I put --autoupdate on the server command? In linux this automagicly updates the server when they are there (from steam) I would rather go through you guys though. |

a little more...
It seems the "reinstall server" option goes to UpdateSoftware.aspx ... But then goes to a reinstall page. Also this server was just installed today... and I looked at the steam files and the steam updater was not even version 18 (newest)... Any ideas for me?
Thanks |

Hi,
We just made sure our linux install is up to date (it now is).
Click on 'Reinstall' and then on the final step, click 'Advanced Options' on the bottom of the page, and tick 'Update this installation instead of performing a reinstall'. |

Cool, two quick questions:
Was your linux server out of date?
Do I always have to manually update the servers like this or will they update on their own from now on?
Thanks
Kyle
EDIT:
3rd question: is there a way to easily update all my hosts/games? Including subs games etc? |

You can manage your own game installations if you prefer (and if you are a hosting company, you probably should).
Let me know what email I should send you info on - be aware its not really supported or that user friendly, you need a little technical knowhow to have it working. |

if you could, please send some info to kyle.caulfield@gmail.com
Even if i had my own installs, would the changes propagate automaticly to all my subs and servers?
Also was this a problem with the windows > linux support with gamecreate? If it just that you guys run windows for most of your things, i might switch to windows if it will keep my servers up to date more often than not.
I also would like to request a feature for the top level host to be able to see all the subs games and server in one window, with simple commands to run, such as install css on all hosts/subs, shutdown all servers, etc etc.
Thanks |

Approving an update on the top domain will filter down to all subdomain servers yes.
Do you have a non-gmail account, gmail blocks the sending of the files I am trying to give you. |

We run mostly windows ourselves, but do support linux, and will continue to support it.
Its just many games dont even run on linux at this time so do not have that big of a support base for it as we will later on. |

Sorry for the confusion, I think I am catching on now. One thing I am still stuck on: If I update the main hosts CSS Game install, will all of the subs be updated automagicly? Or do I have to go through each sub asking for an update? |
