|
|
Hello,
I have gamecreate account, however I recently had my server changed (but IP has remained the same, so I can't connect the server to a new login) - and now all of my accounts have been lost so I can't login to gamecreate panel.
Is there ANY way I can change from internal to external, or move my host over to a different gamecreate account?
Thanks. |

Can you be more specific?
If you have created a GameCreate user account (not a domain), you can use this domain on ANY GameCreate.com domain that uses internal authentication in your region, you just need permission to login to the domain. |

Sorry - I don't think I was clear enough.
I changed my domain from being internal to external authentication. (Where I hosted my server - and web data) - however, I had that server reinstalled and completely lost all the data on the box.
I am now unable to log in to the original domain (due to it not being able to connect to the external authentication) -- is there any way I can change that domain from being external authentication to external authentication? Or alternatively can I change my server to be connected to an alternate domain?
Thanks. |

I think the easiest fix would be for you to setup (if possible) your external authentication script again in the same place.
However, just make it return a user for any request - IE, GetByLogin, GetById etc all return some fake user, just so you can login.
From here, switch back to internal authentication. Since you are returning a fake login with your webservice, you MUST choose to not transfer any users across back to internal authentication, as they will not correctly match up.
This would get your domain working again. |

My old account recently expired and I tried re-installing Gamecreate to no avail. My server still isn't recognized from the server browser (under a new account).
I've re downloaded the latest Linux binary and put in the correct credentials. But it still isn't recognized by Gamecreate.
Is there anything lingering in the database that would stop my server from being seen?
Thanks. |

Is it already in another domain? It must be removed from there first if you are trying to add it to another account.
Watch the console log (run gamecreate with the -f parameter if your in Linux to see the console) for what errors appear. |

It was in another domain (I was using external authentication linked to a URL I no longer had access to) that domain apparently expired.
I ran it as a foreground process as you said, this is the log (password removed)

The username and password are correct. Is there anything that would stop this login from working?
Thanks. |
