hi, i installed the jedi academy game on a linux box.
however, the scripts use GameData and the client issues the directory as gamedata. on a linux system this may be a problem, however i created a symlink as a temporary cure.
either way, i wa slooking at the command line issued at this is it

it appears to be forgetting to append the executable name to the command, ie. linuxjampded
basically, using the same commandline vua ssh is fine, however when started by gamecreate, the game continually crashes
Just came across another, im trying to create permission on my main domain permissions page, however, even after following the create account page and creating an account, i see no way of adding this new user to this domain. the text box field doesnt allow me to input anything either.
Oh, and just one more thing, i notice that jedi academy is supported but not jedi outcast, is it possible to support this game as well, its based on the same engine, and the windows exe is jk2Ded.exe and the linux one is jk2ded

Where are you visiting? If you click the Permissions tab, then click the 'Search by name/email' buttons, which will popup a textbox for you to enter the user by.

Yeah we can support it, ill get around to it sometime soon today.
i clicked the 'search by name' button, entered the new user i created and cleck search, the page refreshes but nothing changes, and nothing appears in the box
Search by name will search by real name, not username, just to clarify.
Use Get by Email to find a specific user.
Also the page will appear to reload when no results are found, this is an oversight and ill look into making some notification about it instead of leaving you guessing.
Let me know if the get by email locates them for you.
ah indeed, its wsorking better now, brownie points for that one hehe.
Even though its still in beta, the features of this are outstanding, nice to see quality work still exists.
Be sure to check out external authentication (http://doc.gamecreate.com/ManualExternalUserAuthentication) if you already have a user database you want to use instead of making accounts GameCreates' internal database.
