Can we have a function to transfer master install files for example of cod from host A to host B instead of manually uploading the files again to host B ? |

I mean, that we setup 1 host as host A under the domain and installed call of duty and manually uploaded all the server files.
Now we added host B to the domain and want to add call of duty there so we can install files there.
Now instead of manually uploading all the files again but to host B this time, can there not be a game install copy function so we can simply copy the master files from host A over to host B ?
Game Copy is basically what I mean... instead of copying a server and recreating it, why not add the function to copy a game servers files over to another host under the same domain.
You could even set the function up to allow the server to tarball all the files and compress them and then transfer them from the host to the other host needing the files.
Does that make sense? |

||
||===== Host 0A
|| |
|| |-----Game Servers
|| |
|| Call of Duty (INSTALLED)
||
||
||===== Host 0B
|| |
|| |-----Game Servers
|| |
|| Call of Duty (NOT INSTALLED) |

Game installations are exactly what this solves.
You simply install the game via GameCreate and GC Client will actually download all the files.
GC wont let you install CoD2 from our content server because its a retail game and its not free.
You can setup your own content server though (HTTP webserver) and that becomes the master repository for game files.
Next time you install CoD2 to a host, the files will be downloaded (copied) from there.
If you want, I can email you information on how to set this up - but its not something I can provide extensive support on if you cannot get it working initially. |
