hey i got everything installed on the server okay but it cant start b/c it cant allocate the ip port 27015... whatever that means... can anyone help me... i also want to know if it is possible to run a server without a monitor using gamecreate... that information would be great too... thanx

all i really need to know if if i have to change the port number which would not be a big deal and i also need to know if i need to open any for gamecreate

Where does it say port 27015 is in use? At GameCreate.com or the server console?

You cannot use the same port if its being used by another server.

Port ranges are also reserved by GameCreate. A server at port 27015 for Counter-Strike will 'take' ports 27015->27025 for example.

Of course you can run a game server without GameCreate - just refer to the games documentation.

okay i tried locating the documintation but cannot find it... would you be able to point me to some other ways to manage the server... its a counter-strike 1.6 server
