I'm trying to setup a BF2 server. I'm running RHEL and a 64-bit system.

When I try to start BF2 via Game Create it gives the following error repeatedly:
Code:
Stop     GameCreate stopped Battlefield 2 Server.     04/29/2008 22:33:31
Fail    Process failure (Server crashed?)    04/29/2008 22:33:31
Start    GameCreate attempted to start Battlefield 2 Server.    04/29/2008 22:33:01
Stop    GameCreate stopped Battlefield 2 Server.    04/29/2008 22:32:43
Fail    Process failure (Server crashed?)    04/29/2008 22:32:43
Start    GameCreate attempted to start Battlefield 2 Server.    04/29/2008 22:32:30
Stop    GameCreate stopped Battlefield 2 Server.    04/29/2008 22:32:14
Fail    Process failure (Server crashed?)    04/29/2008 22:32:13
Start    GameCreate attempted to start Battlefield 2 Server.    04/29/2008 22:31:59

But if I start it via the CLI with the exact same command:
Code:
start.sh +config "configs/16567/serversettings.con" +mapList "configs/16567/maplist.con" +pbPath "configs/16567/pb"
it runs fine.

I've also checked permissions, and have even chmod -R 777's my entire gamecreate folder just to be sure and it will still not run or give me a clearer error message than the above.

Any help is appreciated, thanks Smile.[/code]

Hi,

It is the original start.sh ? if so, just rename your start.sh to start_orig.sh then create a new start.sh, and inside the new start.sh

Quote:
#!/bin/bash
exec screen -m -D -A ./start_orig.sh $@

sorry for my bad english...enjoy Wink
