I found out the main reason why i was having such a hard time updating files.

I had a firewall program, McAfee OAS, that was blocking downloads (mainly vmf file formats) for security reasons. Gamecreate would pretty much stop updating and just hang since it couldn't finish the download of the files.

I disabled McAfee for now, since i have no idea how to set it up to allow the download of the file types.

Maybe the devs of gamecreate could add some sort of file timeout or something in the app so prevent these hang ups in the future.
