Hey guys, I was just wondering if any special software has to be installed on a Linux server to run Game Create. Are things such as Apache required? Also, for games, could you make a list of the libraries needed for them?

All you need for GameCreate to run is the client (click Download to the left).

You can try it out yourself for free, just click Subscribe to the left.

Each game may have different library requirements, you would have to check with the developers on that one.

Thanks for the quick reply. Guy who also runs it told me he had to install apache for some strange reason...just wanted to verify. Bah, checking for libraries for that many games is going to be a pain . Ah well, it'll give me something to do. If anyone has a nice list they would like to post here, maybe it could serve as a reference to others as to what libraries they need to run certain games.

Apache (or any HTTP web server) is used when you want to maintain your own copy of game content (eg, the install's for BF2, CSS, etc) and serve it to your hosts instead of retrieving the content from our server.
