Hi
I'm a new user of GC and I have two hosts, one Win, one Linux.
I have successfully downloaded and can run two games (Day of Defeat Source & Live for Speed) on my Windows Host.
When I try and install these two same games on my Linux host, Live for Speed downloads a single .cfg file and dods three .cfg files only. no other content is downloaded at all.
Are there any issues with the Linux client (i'm running the Beta) or am I doing something wrong?

There are some games in the list where no files for linux server are availible.
Or maybe there are just no server files on GCs content server.
I think they have a focus to windows servers.
If you find a resource to download the server files just copy them in the directory of the game on your server and the server should be startable |

A slight difference in what http://{domain}.eu.gamecreate.com/admin/DomainPackages.aspx says the dir should be and what it actually should be to get the game working, but i now have my DoD:Source server up and running.
Bit gutted I've gotta upload the Cod4 and Arma2 files myself. that'll take me a week!!

Yep, sorry, we only have limited disk space unfortunately and cannot provide content installs for every OS while also keeping them up to date.
We recommend using a custom content server (Download link on the left) when possible. |
