Hi,
Have you considered supporting the game Trackmania Nations?
It is a free, yet sophisticated, racing-game developed by
Nadeo specifically for eSports. The number of players world-
wide is booming as I type this. We are currently considering
putting up a couple of servers for TMN, and using GC to do
this would be great
The game has dedicated servers for both Linux and Windows.
What you do with TMN servers in GC is add /game=nations
to the command-line. Similar command-line arguments are
available for the other two games.
I would guess it's mostly a matter of copying the TMN setup
and changing the command-line argument(s) as well as
some config-file defaults. Or possibly just rename "Trackmania
Nations" to "Trackmania" and have it as a toggle? I believe
it's easy enough for us to do a couple of overrides to turn
a TMN server into e.g. a TSO server without you making any
changes, but it would probably be cleaner if you did some
fixes to the implementation. But that's entirely your call
Renamed the game from Trackmania Nations to just Trackmania.
And added a new Property called 'Game' - The default being Nations as the selected value. This has original, sunrise or nations.
Im not sure if there are any other requirements (map rotation wise?) needed if you choose a different game mode - let me know if you can.
If your using a specific command line for a server (or the game overall), be sure to reset it back to default (or replace the /game=nations bit with /game=%game% in the command line) - This is where the game mode value is set.
The above changes could have been done by you for your domain (since you can define your own command lines, files and properties), but yeah ive made the changes so everyones stuff is updated - let me know if it works or not.
