|
|
Hello,
I think ive got a bit of a strange problem here, I had the gamecreate client installed on my home computer, and installed a game server to test gamecreate out, well now I no longer have that computer, but... I did not delete the game files off the host (my home computer) prior to disconnecting it from the internet.
So I would like to remove the host, but I am having a hard time finding out how to remove it when it thinks there are still files on there, if this is even possible. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Click on the host, select "remove an installed game".
Select the game, and on the next screen expand the
advanced options and select the "do not physically
delete" option. That should allow you to uninstall
the game without requiring GC to remove the files.
You should now be able to remove the host. |

Thanks Kybber.
You can also remove a host immediately (Hosts page ->Remove an existing host).
Removing a host will remove it entirely, regardless of any servers running or installed games. |

Ah, I didn't know that - thought you had to first
remove servers and games. This is much simpler! |

Yeah.
Originally this was not the case - it would tell you to remove the installed games and servers.
However this was changed, as if you're removing a host - you wont be needing any games or servers on that host in GameCreate anymore |

Hate bumping a super old ass thread but seeing as how these forums are hardly used as much as they should be and well my question is relevant to the threads subject I figured I would reply here.....
So where the hell is the remove Hosts page? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I just got a new dedicated and started gc to test it and it added it as another host -.-' I just wanted to transfer the IP's and now I can't because "The IP address is already a Primary address to another host" /facepalm |

Ah I figured it out really stupid that I have to install a game and a game server on the host in order to see the Remove Existing Host button......I run all sub domains and do not need an explicit game server on my host -.-' |

You can go into your domain and append admin/DeleteHost.aspx
This doesn't require any games to be installed, and will present you with a list of hosts associated with your domain which you can then delete. |
