I noticed that in packages.txt, insurgency is said
to be installed in "/Insurgency" (capital "I"):
Code:
insurgency srcds
- /Insurgency
When unpacking the mod tarball in Linux, this dir is
called "insurgency" (small "I"). Will this cause problems?
Should perhaps the package directory be changed
to a small "i" in packages.txt?
Yes, but there are two problems with this approach:
1. Every time I need to download packages.txt again
because of a new game, I'll have to remember to
perform the same modification.
2. The game startup command says "-game Insurgency" (less of a problem since that can easily
be changed).
So what I'll do for now is I will rename the folder
itself to "Insurgency".
I've fixed up the issue with the capital I in insurgency.
I looked into the FSHost application but there's some big issues which mean that it won't work well in gamecreate. The main one is that it appears that there is no way to launch the exe and have the server start up automatically, it needs a manual button press to make the server live.

You should:
1. Go through your list and remove all games that
are already supported.
2. Look up every game and see if they have dedicated
servers. Those that don't can be removed from your list.
3. Add links to downloads for all remaining games.
4. Read the first post in this topic:

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it! I've had a look
at how this works, and all the settings are actually
stored in the registry, not in config files! That's
horrible! That basically means that all GC can do
with this server is start and stop it. Everything else
has to be done either via the GUI itself or via the
remote web control (unless GC creates .reg-files and
they are run before startup ). Guess it's easier to
just use firedaemon or something to keep it running.
Thanks a lot for looking into it, but sorry for wasting
your time
